Botanical necklaces made from recycled silver.
These one off necklaces are made by melting down scrap silver in my home workshop in Devon. My leftover scrap pieces are melted together into a blob, hammered flat and put through the rolling mill before eventually being put through with a fern leaf to create the botanical imprint. The imprint is oxidised before being polished back to make the fern pattern 'pop'.
Due to the nature of this process every single outcome is completely unique as the fern leaves themselves.
*These are melted against a soldering block so have little divets of texture in parts of the silver - this adds to the rustic feel of them!*
Hung on sterling silver chains.
